Le
Beau Marais is a newly restored gem that has been completely transformed
into a luxurious and comfortable dream apartment. The large studio
apartment is located on an historic and quiet "cul de sac,"
and promises a very tranquil "sejour" in the City of
Light. Located on the third floor (3 flights up) with an elevator
and digicode/intercom entry systems, this studio will amaze you
with its well thought-out fit and finish, seen to by our professional
Interior Designer, Martine di Matteo. The color scheme is long
on contrast, with blackberry and cream being most dominant. Exquisite
fabrics are evident throughout the apartment and elegant Toiles
de Jouy have been used to full effect.
The apartment can be enjoyed in five distinct spaces. Just inside
the door and opposite one of the large windows, is an elliptical
dining table with seating for four people. To the left is a sumptuous
cream colored, leather sofa bed, which provides a comfortable
night’s sleep for two. From the sofa, you will be able to
watch a new flat screen television, equipped with cable TV and
over 100 channels. The DVD player may get lots of use as you partake
of the apartment’s video library.
Beyond the sofa bed is an open kitchen, complete with full sized
combination microwave and traditional oven, two-burner stove,
“Nespresso” coffee machine (and pods provided), refrigerator
and all the utensils and cooking implements that you may need.
The expansive countertop gives loads of space to practice your
culinary skills and the window in the kitchen provides a great
cross breeze in summer.
The bathroom is sleek and shiny, with an ample supply of plush
towels, a heated towel rack, shower with rainfall showerhead and
a washer/dryer combination machine.
The bedroom area of Le Beau Marais is sumptuous, with a comfortable
new queen-size bed, flanked by matching night tables. An apartment-wide
drapery can be drawn closed to make this area into its own private
sanctuary. There are two large closets with mirrored doors, which
provide lots of storage space for clothing and personal effects.
Staying connected will be easy from Le Beau Marais, with free
WiFi internet access and unlimited free telephone calls to over
70 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia and
most European countries.
The
Area Around Cité Dupetit Thouars...Le Marais of the Knights
Templar
This
spot in Le Marais is not only one of the most historical, but
is also one of the most convenient! This is the "Quartier
du Temple," where the Knights Templar, a religious and military
order formed in the 12th-century to protect pilgrims in the Holy
Land, had a large portion of land and where their Templar Tower
stood. It later became a prison for the doomed French monarchy,
including Marie Antoinette. The Tower was razed in 1808, and the
Carreau du Temple market built in its place in 1857 by Baron Haussmann,
along with the Mairie for the 3rd arrondissement and the park,
the Square du Temple -- a great place for kids to play or relax
under the trees. The Carreau du Temple is scheduled for a major
renovation to provide a multipurpose public center within the
next five years. The nearby Marché des Enfants Rouges (corner
of rue de Bretagne and rue Charlot) is the oldest covered market
in Paris, built in 1615, named for the red uniforms worn by the
children of a neighboring orphanage.
The
entire area surrounding rue de Bretagne embraces the heart of
the "Haut Marais" and central Paris with all the typical
French commerce you could ever wish for, including three boulangeries
(bakeries), a number of boucheries (butchers), poissonneries (fish
markets), epiceries (grocery stores), primeurs (fruit/vegetable
shops), fleuristes (flower shops), bar/tabacs (tobacco shops),
cafés and lots of excellent and charming restaurants.
The apartment is only minutes walk from Place de la République
which offers five Métro lines and buses, plus plenty of
commerce -- all the banks are represented there as well as important
merchants such as "Darty," "Go Sport," "Grand
Optical," "Habitat" and many more. At this juncture,
one easily can reach by foot all Le Marais has to offer (Musée
Picasso, Place des Vosges, Saint-Paul, Hôtel de Ville and
Notre Dame) as well as the Canal Saint-Martin in the 10th district
and the Montorgeuil market street in the 2nd arrondissement. The
location is superb for accessing everything you want in the City
of Light.

We truly enjoyed our stay at "Le Beau Marais." Everything
we needed was there. The decoration is amazing and so is the use
of the space -- so well thought! This area of Paris is very lively
and yet the street is quiet. from
the moment we decided to rent this apartment to the time we left
for the train station we appreciated the full proof organization
of Parler Paris Apartments.

We
enjoyed our stay. Beautiful apartment.

I
was very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this small apartment
was for a four-week stay. We enjoyed the lovely walks we could
take to many of the most interesting parts of the city. It meant
a lot to be able to make calls from from the apartment and to
be able to do laundry as we needed to. Great choices in design,
colors, furniture and use of space -- as artful as the glorious
city itself.

Our
family enjoyed our rental experience with Parler Paris. My husband
and I were in Le Beau Marais and our adult children were in the
apartment below us, L'Aubergine. Both apartments had everything
we needed for our stay. We appreciated the greeter meeting us
and getting us settled and for being our contact in case we needed
anything. The location of these apartments was ideal--on a quiet
street yet close to stores and the bustling Place de la Republique.
We especially like the new Nespresso machine in Le Beau Marais--a
great way to start the day and a lovely way to enjoy an evening.
We were very comfortable.

Le
Beau Marais was the perfect pied-à-terre for my month long
stay in Paris. The apartment is centrally located with the Monoprix,
three banks, a boulangerie, two Métro stations and several
cafés just steps away. Having a washer/dryer made it possible
for me to keep packing to a minimum. Had I not, there was plenty
of closet space - almost more than at home. With wifi, I was able
to stay in touch with the office and family. I truly enjoyed my
stay.

Highly
recommended apartment...exactly as portrayed on the Web site,
as well as spotlessly clean and well fitted out. Location is great
with Métro just around the corner so every part of Paris
is easily accessible. Local restaurants and cafés offer
a great mix of menus and the local bakeries are to die for --
live now and diet later. Service excellent from booking online
through to meet and greet. We will return!!!!!

Traveling
alone, my studio was perfect. The apartment was stylish, comfortable
and clean. It had everything that I could possibly need. Listening
to French CD's on the stereo while eating fabulous cheese and
drinking fantastic red wine while sitting relaxed in my own apartment
in Paris was a dream come true. The location was terrific...large
supermarket around the corner as well as 2 metro stations just
a short walk away, plus I could walk to anywhere in the Marais
area plus many other areas as well. I could even walk to the Louvre.
The neighborhood was very French...no tourists to speak of and
within a few days I felt just like a local. After a long day sightseeing
it was wonderful to come home to a very special apartment.
